Scraplift #36 is Angela Powers and is OH SO SWEET!! UPDATED

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this layout of Angela's!! I saw it's thumbnail in the gallery and I had to see what it was all about. The picture makes it tremendous, but just the sweet little journaling and the angled torn papers turn this from a good layout to a great one!! I especially like the doodle swirls that look like it could be ribbons or it could be a doodle and the little flowers and the ribbon! I am going to have a lot of fun doing this one and I hope you join me!

You can leave Angela some lovin' here:

Sweet Baby Kisses

I read further in Angela's description and saw that it was a lift of Melissa's sweet little layout too!! I can't wait to see what other interpretations come out of this and Melissa's!

Here's the original layout:

you can leave her some love too here:

On to the lifts!!!! I was so happy to see so many of you do the lift with me!!!

Here's mine:

I went really bold with this one - and Shabby Princess's Studio Chic is the perfect Kit for bold yet still so beautiful!!!

This is a layout for my sister in law Ann Marie. She has three boys and she has had a really rough life. I just wanted to let her know how much she's loved and admired for her strength in raising her boys in such a tumultuous life...

My FIL was here and let me download some pictures of the family and these were in his bunch!

This sweet layout is by Rachel.

I have to admit I had a little tear in my eye when I saw her little baby boy sick! She did a great job making the layout just great!! I love how she framed the picture area with a big messy stitched frame! The colors are bold and fun and journaling so touching! Great layout on such a hard subject!

Credits: Journaling reads: Poor little dude! You have been so sick since you started going to daycare. It makes me feel awful, but you love going anyway! Pink eye was particularly bad because you couldn't open your eyes in the morning and really got scared.

This one by PrincessJoyce is so wonderful!!!

The soft muted colors work perfectly with the black and white photo. What I love most about this layout is the beautifully delicate lacy flowers!! They just make this layout so sweet and feminine! Im also in love with her stitching!!! Great job!!!!!!!

This fun layout comes from Lisa.

I think that picture is so adorable and you can tell they are having so much fun! What I really like about this layout is the jewels and the rope of flowers around the background. There is so much visual interest on this layout - makes it look like I want to reach out and touch it!! Great job Lisa!!!

This one is from Jen Caputo!

This one made me smile when I saw it - I think that picture is just in my top 10 delightful pictures of Moms and babies!

The colors are so bright and bold and I love the stitching! It really makes the layout so textural. I think I love most the tiny touches that she put in - the tiny "BLESSED" circle, the tab, the hat pin, the eyelets!!

She says this about her layout: I took this pic of my best friend and her baby this past week and when I saw the layout Susan had chosen for the digi lift this week I had to play along!!!

Everything is from Holly McCaig's A Colorful Fall kit available at PDW except the alpha and paint brushes which are by Michelle Coleman and the swirly shape brushes which are by Shawna Clingerman.

This sweet layout comes from Mary.

I really love that picture and how sweet they both look! My favorite part of this layout is the element cluster - the way she used different pieces and pasted them on a journaling badge and then tying it with the hat pin. Very sweet colors! Great Job Mary!

I really adore this little face!!! Such a cute picture! I really like the element cluster with all those wonderful bows and I think what I like the most about it is the way she did the title and how all the swirlies just tie everything in together!!

I Can't Believe we're on #35 already!!! UPDATED

It should be closer to 48, but I missed a few weeks this past year! Oh the search for a lift to do is getting harder and harder because there are some truly incredible layout artists out there!!!! One layout really stood out to me this week and here it is:

You can see it ot DigiShopTalk.com here:

About a Boy

The layout I picked comes from Kim, user name tnkbuzan at DST...and this is what she says about her layout:

I've had a heck of a time making layouts for my son lately...he's eleven..right at that in between stage of little boy and teenager...

Paper are from AUTUMN PORTRAIT KIT, Jackie Eckles
Word art by Jackie from GREENLY KIT
Drop shadow actions by Katie Pertiet
www.desginerdigitals.com

Journaling: I sound so much like a mom when I say this....It sounds so cliché, but it’s oh-so true. Time goes by too fast and you notice it at the most ordinary, unexpected little moments. I watched you walk out of the room the other night and it hit me that you’re not a little boy anymore. It’s not just that you’re taller , it’s how you carry yourself...how you handle yourself when you’re around other people. You’re a confident, respectful and responsible boy. I’m glad you still have a few years of childhood ahead of you, and I’m proud of the adult that I’m beginning to see glimpses of!

===

I was drawn to Kim's layout because of it's clean lines and absolutely stunning picture. She combined it with heartfelt journaling and sparse but effective papers. I find it distinctive that she didn't use a plain white background to create negative space - instead she used a slightly textured and colored paper.

Join me in lifting Kim's wonderfully clean layout!!

===

As always, if you've done a lift and I've missed it somehow, please add it to the comments section here or email me a link to where it resides and I'll get it right up!

And here are the layouts and the ladies that jointed me in this challenge!!!

This first one is mine. I am SOOO happy with the way this one came out. Oh man is this new camera fun!! This is one of the first ones off the press!! It's wonderful to not have to spend an hour in photoshop getting a good picture!!! I really wanted to scrap right away with some of my Rebel XTi shots and this one was PERFECT for Gina Cabrera's new "Falling for you" Kit, available at digital design essentials! Falling For You

Fonts Teen and Jenn Olson

Next up is Sharon's Tri-Athelete Layout. She always has just the right touch to make the layout shine - like the idea of putting a white stroke around the papers - to mimic the photo edges!! Great job Sharon - and I really love your repetition of TRI!!! :-) Sharon says this: I am a big fan of Kim’s (tnkbuzan) … we met on a photography site, and I tempted her over to the dark side of digital scrapping, lol, and she is sooooo good. I love this layout because it has clean classic lines, great for the boys or men in your life. Great page, Kim! And thanks for the challenge, Susan!

This one is from Rachel, and I have to say it really made me choke up to read her journaling. I cannot IMAGINE having to be apart from my hubby as much as it sounds like she has to. I really adore her paper choices and the picture is just so full of fun and love!! She says, "I'm so thankful that my husband has come home to see us so often while he's been working out of town!

Credits: That Fall Smell by Heather Roselli
Fonts: Courier New, Anthony, 2Peas Fiddle Sticks

Finally - one of my all time favorite layouts of Karen's! Her journaling is so sweet and so true and that picture is just the cutest!!! Karen says, "My youngest daughter just climbing a chair in the hotel during our past short vacation. Nothing too dangerous, but I’ve been wanting to journal a little about the mixed signals I’m sending my laughing and taking pictures one moment and then the next I’m scolding lol.

Journaling = Being your mother, everything you do is cute and I always want to take a picture of it. And after I think I’ve gotten at least one good photo, I lightly scold you and get you out from whatever mess you were in. When I tell you to “look at mommy” while I’m snapping away on the camera, you must think you’ve really done something to be proud of and then in the next instance I’m whisking you off whatever obstacle you’ve managed to climb. Well…I guess some sacrifices will have to be made for the sake of preserving the moment.

Scraplift #34 is the Fabulous Kay Miller & Mary Fran!!! UPDATED

I was groggily surfing the galleries this past week and my eye perked up when I saw this adorable little snowman...and then it hit me: CHRISTMAS SEASON IS REALLY HERE!!!! I absolutely adore this time of year, so when I saw this, I got so very happy. Then I read further on and it's one of my favorite designers - kay Miller who did the layout. The topper was when I found out who designed this kit: Mary Fran!!! I really adore her layouts and I was so freaking excited to see that she was designing kits now.

Go look at her fun stuff: Nitwit Collections

Anyways, back to this layout. I love that Kay used 3 pictures and I loved the way she turned them sepia and made them white on the edges. Then those super sweet papers and elements!! I really love the placement of everything and the soft muted tones of this layout. I am not good at soft and muted - so we'll see how I lift this one!!

This is what Kay says about her layout: Oh I do love how this layout turned out! But how could you possibly go wrong with a cute kit like this!! This kit is SO me!! I love everything about it!! Anyway these are some picture I took of Kaylea last year in the little bit of snow we had. I turned them semi sepia to better match those cute little snow guys!!!

Credits: Frost 'n Flakes by Mary Fran at NitWit Collections. ( A must have kit in my opinion!)

I hope you join me in lifting this wonderful Kay Miller/Mary Fran Creation!!!

Snow Fun!!

===
So here are the amazing layouts!!! Thank you for joining me ladies!!!!

Here's mine!
I tried a little photo shoot outside looking to get the Christmas photo for our Christmas Card - and while I think they're adorable - I don't think we've found it yet...I'll keep trying.

Meanwhile, I fell in absolute LOVE with this kit by Mary Fran, Holly Days - and I didn't even know she was designing!!! It's available at http://www.nitwitcollections.com - along with some other great kits that I will soon own!!!

I couldn't replicate the soft sepia type photos and the way this blended so well together - but I took the layout design and lifted that.

I need to master soft!!! LOL!

This adorable layout is by Marlies. I adore this pic and the cute polka dots!! Mary says: my dd making her own wish {shrug} only she knows.

Scraplift #33 Is Jodi!! UPDATE

Our new scraplift is by Jodi and when I saw this layout it went IMMEDIATELY into my favorites. Upon reading further I realized that this was a scraplift of Tali B - one of the first ladies we lifted here - so it was fitting that I was attracted to it!! LOL!!

Tali's layout is here:

Tali's Original Layout

Jodi says this about her layout:

I've loved this LO of Tali's forever, and finally scraplifted it. Thanks so much for the inspiration Tali!!

Journaling reads:
Lydia, you are a pretty happy go lucky little girl that laughs easily and gives a smile with no problem. But now that you are learning about telling jokes and making people laugh, you are so silly! Knock-knock jokes are a great trick for getting you to smile a ‘real’ smile when I’m trying to take your picture, and the other day you told me your first real joke: “Why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 ate 9!” I love to hear your laugh and I love the little jokes you tell! Keep smiling, keep laughing, and keep being Happy!

You both came to our
lives unexpectedly. We

but the moment we saw your
faces we knew that you were

our lives without you.
If we'll have to choose
we wouldn't have it any
